What is Thai Yoga Massage?
Traditional Thai massage uses no oils or lotions. The recipient remains clothed during the treatment.

The true ancient style of the massage requires that the massage is performed solo with just the practitioner and recipient.

The recipient will be positioned in a variety of yoga-like positions during the course of the massage, that is also combined with deep static pressure point work, the recipient's body is systematically compressed, pulled and stretched.

The massage generally follows designated lines ("sen") in the body. The practitioner utilises hands, elbows, knee’s legs, and feet to conduct the treatment.

What to wear
Loose comfortable clothing, the treatment is conducted on a futon type mat on the floor.  A full Thai yoga massage session may last one hour and includes pressing and stretching of the entire body. This may include, moving the recipient's body into many different positions, to assist with the mobility of the joints and flexibility of the muscles.

The Benefits of Thai Yoga Massage
Thai massage works on the circulatory system, with increased circulation this allows more oxygenated blood to flow freely through the body. This promotes good sleep and reduces stress levels. This, in turn, may lower the chances of blood clotting in the arteries (pulmonary embolism) which leads to strokes or heart attacks. Thai massage also reduces the number of headaches or migraines that individuals may suffer from.
